UNDER the distinguished patronage of His Majesty the King of Italy, at Borne, according to communication received from the Consul General for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instructions from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878.

Dr Cruikebank, Health Officer for the City of Sandhurst, certifies to the extract being the most reliable remedy for external inflammation, tbronchitis, diphtheria, affections of the lungs, chest, all paina of rheumatic nature, neuralgia, &c.; all swellings, bruises, sprains, ■wounds, disorder of the bowels, diarrhoea, &c. Epitome of declaration made before M. Cohen Esq., J.P., at Sandhurst, October, 1877.—The eon of Mr Eaabe was hurt with an axe on the knee.. After nine weeks' medical treatment it was declared necessary, by Dr. Macgillivray to amputate the injured limb. At that juncture the extract was applied, and the wound speedily cured w.thout ampua! ion. The daughter of Mr Junghenn, suffering from disease of the bone, as pronounced by Dra Atkinson and Boyd, was cured jußt as Bpeedily. Cures of whooping cough, very severe colds, croup, bronchitiß, diphtheria, earache, pains in the head (neuralgia,) inflammation of the eyes, and that of a severely injured ioot ;*others of bad legs, wound on the arm with enormoiiß swelling, of severe burises and sprained ankle, (H. Brown,) in which case eight months' medical advice was of no avail, are reported by the Donald Times, Newcastle Morning Herald,.Cooktown Courier, Yorke'e Peninsula Advertiser and others. ; Tljfi extract is proved to be curative in disorders of the urinary organs. It is the surest curiitive sgent and prevent ativ«j of contagion in scarlet, typhoid and intermittent fever.
