MOANATAIRI.
Good progress is being made both with the winze and the rise in th» Point Russell section, although the country in the latter is a little tighter than formerly. At the bottom level driving of the south crosscut was started, but owing to the water coming in rather strong work had to be suspened until the well hole w.a* sunk. The manager has commenced driving a crosscut south from 150 feet level to pick up the foolwall branch of the No. 9 lode. There is only a foot to goto intersect this lode, which is expected to turn out payably. /.
