Thames District Belt.

The fourteenth quarterly competition for the Thames District Belt cam© off at. the Government range on Saturday in two squads. There were a large number of competitors, and all the arrangements were conducted satisfactorily, though the state of the targets was seriously com* plained of. - Mitchell of the T.N.B. is the winner of the coveted trophy with the score of 63; another blue jacket, Cameron, making the same score. Kellar of the Engineers was very unlucky. At the first three ranges hie mad* the splendid score of 54 points but failed to make a hit at 600 yards, and was consequently out of it.
