Thames Harbor Board.

The Secretary laid before the Board the above Act, and pointed out several clauses which he considered conflicting. A J deputation of the Borough Council, consisting of Messrs Hansen and McGowan, waited on the Harbor Board to ask permission to erect the fish market on the east end of the wharf. Carried. TBNDEBS FOB SILT PUNT. Tenders for the construction of a silt punt in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the engineer to the Board were received from Eobt. Stone | for £265, and Smardon and Law for £260. Considerable discussion ensued, it being unanimously'considered that these punts were too costly, and might not answer the purpose. Finally, as Messrs Baptnall and iVlennie were going to Auckland, it was decided that they interview the Auckland Harbor Board; and «rge on them the necessity of lending to the Thames Harbor Board their steam dredge. . I ' THE FILLING IN. The Foreman-of Works reported that he had removed all the Big Pump mullock tip, 10,000 yards of stuff having been put under the wharf at a cost of about £500. He had discharged the men. ■ It was decided to call for tenders for three additional trestles for the Big Pump tram road, and to leave the consideration/ of whether the Board should continue the filling in or otherwise till next meeting. . ACCOUNTS. . Several accounts were then passed for. payment, and the Board adjourned.
