the driving of the south cross-cut to in* fersect No. 9 lode w.ill be commenced immediately. The baling out of the Point Russell winze is now finished, and sinking is now going ahead. There is one hundred feet to sink to connect the winze with the rise from the tunnel. At the 80-feet level a dropper of Wallace's leader, or a branch from the cross-lode has been cut, and is showing gold, freely. Crushing is shaping poorly. McDonald and party have finished crushing for the yield of 66ozs 18dwti
