(Reuters Special to Fbess Aobnct.) Bombay, November 23. The British force advanced and shelled Alimusjid, in the Ely her Pass. The Ameer's troops were strongly posted. The attack was postponed until the remainder of the column arrived. Late telegrams state that the British attacked Alimusjid yesterday afternoon. The Afghans evacuated Alimusjid last night, after a brisk cannonade. The troops occupied the place this morning. The British loss it trifling. November 24. The Viceroy of India has'issued a proclamation of war against the Ameer, averring that hostilities will be directed against the Ameer and not the people of Afghanistan, whose independence is rcognised and respected, and states further that England would not tolerate the intervention of any power. London, November 19. The Glasgow Bank is expected to pay a dividend shortly.
