Judgments joe Plaintiffs. In the following cases judgments were given for plaintiffs, with costs :—Vaughan t. Barnett.—-Claim, £7, board and residence, and costs £1 3s. Stone Brothers v, Black Angel G.M.Co.—Claim, £11 8s Id, goods, and costs £3 Is Bd. Judgment Summons. d. millek v. j. m'caethy. Claim, £6 10s. IS o appearance of defendant. - Plaintiff, stated, that defendant iiad agreed to pay oa per week, which he was willing to accept. Ordered that defendant pay os per week till the debt is paid, failing any payment, to undergo one month's imprisonment at Mount Eden. Defended Cases. w. h. taipabi v. f. soutee. Claim, £5, damage done by trespass of defendant's horse on plaintiff's ground. Mr Miller appeared for plaintiff, and Mr Dodd for defendant, who admitted the trespass of the horse, but raised a point that Taipari was not owner of the land or sole occupier. W. H. Taipari, sworn, deposed—That the land was leased by him from his father. Mr Miller said that he would be satisfied with nominal damages. Judgment for plaintiff Is, and costs £1 17s. NEW TBIAL. In the case ot Fitton t. Bullock and Allen, Mr Miller for the defendants lodged counter affidavits against the granting of a new trial, to obtain which Mr Dodd had lodged affidavits last Court day. His Worship granted the new trial contingent on the plaintiff depositing with the Court a sum equivalent to the probable expenses of defendants should the action fail. Court adjourned.
