Sydney, November 27. The seamen's strike continues in Sydney, Brisbane, and Newcastle unabated. Efforts for mediation have failed. Three Chinese crews are now loading and discharging company's vessels. The latest from New Caledonia is that a terrible massacre of eleven whites has taken place at the mouth of the river, consisting of a forage party engaged in the carriage of provisions to the troops. The bodies were found cut up and cooked. The sailors are searching the rivers. A party were fired upon by the rebels and further massacres are reported, but particulars are wanting. 1 A large number of troops have arrived at Noumea during the month.
Adeiiade, November 27. The Council rejected the Land and Property Tax Bill. The Assembly read ft Loan Bill a third time.
