f To day I wm> shown some tpecioMiii from Stevens'claim at Tapu. The staff is evidently a sort of conglomerats in which large flakes or beadi'« Coarse gold are to be seen. The ■ stuff is brown in color, end very weighty. My infomif.nt, who recently visited the clvm, informs me that the shareholders'will-ooriwaeiieel trial crushing about the, end of the week, and the stuff:* estimated to 4 ounces per load all ronnd.
