This day. John Cosgrave and. Thomas Peacock were the only persons nominated for the office of Mayor. The election takes place on the twenty-seventh inst.
James Reith, an engineer, has been killed at Biverhead. He was struck by a crane. An inquest was to be held-to-day.
No sign of the mail steamer.
