TOOKEY TRIBUTE.

TOOKEY TBIBUTE. On Saturday afternoon the manager commenced a crushing of 30 tons of stuff at the Prince Alfred mill, and so far it is showing up for a moderate return on the plates. The crushing is from an eight-inch lode in the Golden Hill section, and as it can be got at easily from the Waiotuhi shaft, it will pay. The leader runs about north and south, and as in many of its characteristics resembles the Waiotahi No; 6 lode, the manager expects it will turn out to be a continuation of that lode. The stone is heavily mineralised. Stuping and driving are now in progress, and there is a large block to take out. This is the 4>n\y work at present in progress.
