An extraordinary occurrence is reported by the Melbourne papers of the 15th nit. On Saturday night Mr and Mrs Morton Moas were proceeding; home when they saw a mob of larrikins chasing someone. Mr Moss went amongst them, and found that it. was a female in her nightdress, carrying an,infant in her arm* Mr and Mrs Moss took her into their prirate house. The poor creature wm nearly mad, she haying beajri confined only two or three daya^fore. It was nearly 2 o'clock in the mdminff before they disoovered who her doctor was, but he was then sent for, and he took her home. The lady had been left only a-few minutes when she left her. home, and het husband was almost frantio at her unaccountable absence and had been looking for her. Some of the police were on the scene, and one especially wanted to look the woman up for being drunk, but Mr Moss stoutly refused, stating that it would probably cause her death.
