A most important sale of merino rams and ewes was held at the wool store, Hereford street, to-day, comprising animals from the flocks of Messrs James Gibson, David Taylor, William Henry Gibson, J. Toosey, and Bobert Jones, of Tasmania ; Sir Samuel Wilson, of Ercildown; and John Wilson, of Gala, Victoria Tho sale was the most important ever held in Canterbury, and very high prices were realised, ranging from 20 to 120 guineas. A large number of others were disposed of at from 5 to 20 guiaeas.
