The State elections and Congressional elections are orer. They resulted in a great accession*bf strength to the Republicans io Northern and Western states* whilst Democrats are rictorious in the Southern states.
Calcutta, November 5.
The Pioneer of Allahabad announces that several brigades are to be formed immediately for frontier service.
It is the Ameer is at Jellallabad, and is determined to attack us at Eyber and Quettah.
November 6.
The Madras army and< t&e Bombay army will be increased to a brigade each.
