TIMARU.

Thursday. A Royal Commission, appointed re certain charges against the steward of the Timaru Hospital, has been closed, and the following decision given:—" We, the undersigned, Commissioners of the Timaru Hospital, after hearing the evidence on both sides, find G. B. Fairbourne guilty of gross immorality, and adjudge G. B. Fairbourne be dismissed from the position of steward of the hospital, and tnat Fairbourne be served with a dopy of this decision of the Royal Commission, which investigated the case, and informed that the services of himself and Mrs Fairbourne be no longer required after the end of the month."
