The usual fortnightly meeting of the Board was held at the Council chamber! lait evening. Present—Mr Davies (Chairman), Messrs Mennie, Baguall, Gibbons, Price and Wilson. KINUTES. The minutes of the previous meeting were read, and also the minutes of the special meeting. Mr Bagnall said that he had received no notice of the last meeting, when the tenders were accepted. At the meeting before that ho had understood that the tenders would not be accepted till this meeting, and he did not think that arrangements had been honorably carried out. The Secretary said the notice had been posted. The Chairman assured Mr Bagnall that there had been no underhand work, and the minutes were signed. AN APPLICATION. The Foreman of Works asked permission to remove the rails on the Burke street wharf to the other side of the wharf to facilitate the filling in. The Chairman stated that the Board had spent all the money granted by the Borough Council except some £80, and he questioned if it would be worth while to move the rails as they had not much more money to spend in the filling in of the wharf. En passant Mr Price, suggested that a small embankment of mullock should be run out from the Moanatairi tip to the northera end of the breast-work. The Board thought this a good suggestion.. .
