MOANATAIRI.
This mine; was visited to-day. In the tunnel I found that driving operations west on the No. 1 lode have been resumed. The rock drill is used, and the country is extremely hard. The lode, however, is looking very well, being from two to three feet thick, and is heavily charged with minerals of a favorable description. .There is a very large quantity of antimony amongst the other mine* rals, and the manager is of opinion that it looks very promising for gold. In the Point Eussell rise the country is also hard. There are a large number of quartz stringers crossing the face, and plenty of water is coming but. The sinking of the engine shaft is making pretty good headway. There is no new! worth noticing in connection with the other workings. The company has recently acquired the Morning Star ground, which will be a very valuable acquisition to the company's territory,, and it pan be very advantageously worked by them. At the company's mill the crushing bears a slightly improved appearance.
