SCANLAN'S CLAIM.
Mr Thomas Scanlan and party have recently pegged out a piece of ground on the hne of the proposed tunnel to be put in by the County Council for the water works extension. This is a very clever thing, as the shareholders will get 1350 feet of country prospected without any cost to themselves from the Wsio-Karaka to the Waiotahi. It is supposed to be a very good "spec" . .
