KURANUI HILL.
The country in which the No. 1 lode at 640 feet lerel is being worked is much improved, and the manager is of opinion that the prospects of coming on auriferous quartz are greatly increased. The lode has also much improVed in appearance, and a great deal of water is issuing from the face. A parcel of 10 tons was sent to the battery to-day. The contractors having thrown up their contract on Saturday, the manager yesterday let a fresh one to Guy and party. '.
