In the House, Mr Sheehan announced that the Native disturbance at Waiapu was an end. _ j The Government, in reply to Mr # Morris, promised to consider the question of university reserves during the recess. : Mr Beet ham asked that the Agent* General be instructed to send additional immigrants to those already mentioned. Mr Stout aaid the Government did not at .present feel justified in increasing the number. 'In reply to Mr Macfarlane, Mr Macandrew said he would be glad to give the same concession to an Auckland wagon company as granted to the Otago one. On the motion for going into Committee of Supply Mr Shrimski moved that the next session of Parliament be held at Christchurch. After a few remarks the. motion was caned by 29 to 28. . [ Both morning papers ridicule the idea, and say the Government will take no notice of the resolution.
