Melita is now a hundred to ten, Savanaka a hundred to eight. Sydney, October 28. Arrived: s.s. Australia, from Auckland ; s.s. Bowen, at Cooktown, with Torres Straits mails. Beisbane, October 28. H.M.S. Sapphire has returned to port after an unsuccessful search for the missing boats of the barque Onward.
