Tuesday. In the case of Fishenden, an absconding bankrupt, the jury failed to agree as to their verdict, and were discharged by Judge Harvey. At to-day's sitting of the District Court, the Crown prosecutor asked that a new trial should be taken forthwith, but a rule nisi for a writ of certiorari having been issued by the Supreme Court, the further hearing of the trial was adjourned until next District Court sittings.
