MOANATAIRI.

', At the company's .mill the crashing' continues to sbapV poorly. At the mine there is not much new to notice. The sinking of the engine shaft is making good progress, the country being of a favorable nature. The following is a copy of the ■ mine manager's usual weekly report:—" Good progress is. being made 61 Point Bussell rise; the country being much easier. No. 1 Beef, Tunnel Level. —I think we have been driving for the last 12 feet on a branch, as tbere is every appearance of the main part of the reef having gone off into hanging-wall on, noith*west side. We are now breaking out the side to prove whether it is in this direction. The sinking of the engine shaft is progressing well, and the.upper L slide has teen intersected. I have resumed driving the south cross-cut at 150 feet level to prospect the country. There is still 60, feet to reach the boundary. The stopes between two slides are now all worked out, and there is no change to mention in any of the other stopes. In driving west at 80 feet level, No. 2 reef has not shown any gold, but looks encouraging. I. am hoping an improvement will take place in our crushing stuff, which is at present showing, poor.—l am, &C, EO3T. CCHEB.

The tributers Williams and party have finished crushing for the yield of 6ozs 6dwts gold.

PIAKO. Carnie and party have finished crushing for the yield of 3ozs 16dwts gold.
