The report of the joint committee on private bills, recommends that the Thames Harbour Board Bill be treated as a public bill.
LAND PURCHASE AMBNIMEN/T ACT. The Government Native Land Purchase Act Amendment Actjwas circulated to-day. It only contains two clauses. The first Ba ys—that every notification gazetted under the Native Land Purchase Act, 1877, of notice, of the prior rights of the Crown in respect of described native lands, shall be equivalent to a notice that the native title over the land has been extinguished, and Her Majesty and every person on herbehalf shall have the right, to expel intruders on such land; if Her Majesty abandon rights under this, notification omit be gazetted one month before it has any force. ■■■'.•■'* __•_•__ : .■
