At the South British half-yearly, meeting to-day the report shewed premiums received £60,904, increase of £10,462 on the corresponding period of last year. Total income, including £9675 brought forward, £84,925; losses £36,584; reinsurances and expenses £25,254; balance to credit at the end of the half year, £23,086; of which £10,100 is carried to the reserve fund, making it £70,000. A dividend at the rate' of 15 per cent, per annum was declared. Investments,
