FEMININE STRATEGY.
A little incident,.which won't be forgotten by the parties who-witnessed it, - occurred on Old Onchard beach the other day. One of the beauties who was fore* most in gambolling in the breakers suddenly called to her companions, and in a few minutes there were a dozen of her friends about her. Something had \happened, but no one in the party had a pin about her. Something on which a large amount of responsibility had rested had suddenly, given way, and she could neither swim nor. could she* get ashore to her bathing house in that plight. She managed' to steady herself with a friend at either side, and then, having adjusted the refractory garment to the beat of her ability, aided and abetted by the judgment of the others, it was deter* mined to get ashore at all hazards, and avoid observation as much as possible in tke trip to the bathing house. A bevy of tbe damsels surrounded her and com* pie! Ely obscured her from the • view of the bathers until the bathing house was reached. It was a brilliant piece of , strategy, and was well executed.—Correspondence Boston Transcript.
