CROWN PRINCESS.
j I am glad to chronicle a discovery made in this mine which, in all probability, will greatly enhance the prbf pecjfcj of! the claim.: liaJe last night. Graham and party, tribliters, cut the New Exchange reef at' the No. 3 level, ob aining splendid gold from it. A bole about a foot in depth' was cut info the lode, and in almost every piece of stone broken out gold was freely visible. Some of the pieces were on exhibition at' the Bank of; New South Weles to-day, and attracted a considerable amount of attention. This reef .is about five feet in thickness, and the stone is of fine blue color, with good mineral shewing through it. Tte corinf ry is in eveiy way favorable to' the carrying of a gold-beaiing lode, and the jjrobability of this hot being a* mere patch' is increased by the facHhat. the' day before yesterday the' tributers .citt a dropper of the main lode, from which a few pounds of golden stone was obtained. The company's prospects, have naturally altered for the better also, as they have a long stretch on the line of reef, and have all the ground below-Graham's section, so that by putting down a winze they could be on gold at once. It has not yet been, decided what steps the' company will take.
