Mining Accident.
Man Buried for Five Hours.
At about half-past ten, o'clock this morning a pass at the No. 6 level of the Queen of Beauty mine being < chocked, a tributer nameOames McKelrie went up to clear it. Whilst so doing -the dirt commenced to run, completely burying him. His mates discovering ttie accid. Nt, immediately set to work to dig him out his muffled voice, being: heard from underneath the stuff. Willing' hands were employed both above and below, and at half past' 'three bis hands were visible, and he, was, still able to speak. He was lying on his tide with a large block of stone on'his legs* a portion of which protected.his body, from the smaller pieces. ■- '.. , , '■,!■.-. •:. ■ ■; 4.15 p.m. The man has been released, alive without a scratch.
