Thursday. • In the Supreme Court to-day, Henry Jones, for larceny, was sentenced to six years' penal servitude; William James Miller, for obtaining goods under false pretences, eighteen months' imprisonment.
At the inquest to-day at the hospital, upon the body of Mr McClatcby, who was said to have died from the effects of injuries inflicted on him by John Dempsey (barman in the Garrick's public-bouse), the jury brought ma verdict of V Death from natural causes." ,
The annual sports in connection with the College were held to-day, and were a great success. The weather was very fine, and there was a large attendance of the general public.
