THE ELECTORAL BILL.
The. debate on the second reading of the Electoral Bill was then resumed by the, Hon. J. Hart, who severely criticised the Bill. He urged the Council to pause before changing the law on the subject. , The Hon. George Buckley .was much disappointed with the details of the measure. He opposed the double voter for the Mncfri, and should support the principle of voting for one member only., He should vote for the second rearling, but hoped the bill would be materially amended, ■ . ,
The Hon. J. Hall thought tbe bill would.not make much transfer of politic*!, power, yic utterly scouted the necessity of every man having a Vote, but thought all tv«"i- entitled to good (joverotfient and ftir taxation. He would vote, for the second reading, bub the bill mubl bo amended.
The Hon..
