Licensing Court.
The adjourned meeting.of the Licensing Court was held at the Court House, at noon to-day. Present—Captain Fraser, R.M. (Chairman), Messrs Souter, Workman, and Brown, Licensing Commissioners. . ; • - DISTHICT OF HaUBAKI. NEW IJCENSE FOB NEW HOUSE. ' Charles Hill applied for a license for the Bridge Hotel. Parawai. The application had been adjourned from the Quarterly Licensiug meeting in consequence of the building being in' an unfinished state.. • • Mr Brassey appeared for applicant. Mr' Bullen stated- that the workmen were still employed at the house, but he believed the hotel would be a good one, and would not object to the granting of the license if the Bench saw fit to &rant ii. ::\./:' .'".'. .■,../. v 1.".;. 1-"'.;- •;.. \.'_"^. The Chairman said the Bench could not grant a license for an unfinished house, and after some discussion Mr Brassey withdrew his application. T . ; This was all the business. >
