' TTNDER the distinguished patronage of U His Majesty the King of Italy, at Rome, according to communication received from the Consul-General for Italy, at Melbourne, upon .instructions from the Minister for Foreign i Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878. Dr Cruikshank, Healtk Officer for the City of Sandhurst, certifies to the extract being the. most reliable remedy for external inflammation, bronchitis, diphtheria, affections of the lungs, chest, all pains of rheumatic nature, neural- ' pia, &c.; all swelliDgs, bruises, sprains, I wounds, disorder of the bowels, diarrhoea, '&c. Epitome of declaration made, before M. I.Cohen Esq., J.P., at Sandhurst, October, 1877.—The son. of Mr Raabe was hurt with |an axe'on the knee. After nine weeks' mcdi- ' cal treatment it was declared oeceseary by Dr. [Macgillivray to amputate the injured limb. i At tnat juncture the extract was applied, and 1 the wound ■ speedily cured "w thout ampui tation. The daughter :of MrJunghenn, suffering i from disease of the bone, as pronounced by 1 Drs Atkinson and Boyd, was cured just as 1 speedily. Cores of, whooping cough, very , severe colds, croup, bronchitis, diphtheria, earache, pains in the head (neuralgia,) inflammation of the eyes, and that of a severely injured foot ; others of bad legs, wound on the arm with enormous swelling, of severe buriees and sprained ankle, (H. Brown,) in which case eight months' medical advice was of no avail, are reported, by the Donald Times, Newcastle Morning 5 Herald, Co'oktown Courier, Yorke's Peninsula Advertiser and others.. The extract is proved to be curative in disorders of the urinary organs. It is the surest curative agent and preventative of contagion in ecarlety typhoid and intermittent fever.
