Mdlle Averran, the equestrienne connected with Hayes' and Burton"s Circus, died this morning from lockjaw. A few days ago while going through one of her acts she fell from a horse and broke her arms. Tetanus supervened, and the r:> fortunate woman expired in great agODy shortly after midnight. Great sympathy is felt for her husband.
The head waiter of Christchurch Club was this morning fined £5 for assaulting the steward with a dinner bell. •
