lABCBNY. John Quadri (a notorious young thief) was cnarged with steal'ng from the hous? of one J. E. Macdonald, one pistol, of the value of 2j 6d, the property of one John Leydou, on tl o 6th init. Defendant pleaded gailty. Antonio Quadn, sworn, deposed—l am the father of the boy before the Court. He is 15 years'old. The boy is very useful to me, but I cannot keep him in. Mr Bullen said the boy was a dreadful 'boy. There was no larceny amongst the boys in Shortland which was not traced ' to the Quadri boys as either the principals I or accessories to the theft. His Wo-ship said that he would give ; the lad another chance; he wouli be sent, to prison for seven days, and if< ever he j came before the Court again he would be j bent to Mount Eden for six months. KKOLKCTrUL 'BLS DBIVEE. , Thomas Patterson was charged with, leaving his licensed carriage unattended. , Defendant did not appear, and a warrant was issued for his apprehension. Court adjourned.
