The Government received sthe following telegram this afternoon re the recent murder of a native woman near Waiapu: —" Gisborne.—A messenger has just come in fron} J Waiapu, and reports" that the prisoners have been arrested, and are in readiness to be handed over to the police on the arrival of the steamer. It is probable that two other prisoners will be charged with rape." j
