There is no burking the question—the drains in .Normanby street are laid out about as well as it is possible; if they had been laid out in any other way they would have cost about twice as much money as has been expended'on them, even with fair labour and no Government stroke. However, let that " sleeping dog lie;" there will be a change soon, at least so far as I have heard. 1 What does "Tohunga" mean by "men placed inauthority who would act fairly between man and man, perfectly indeppndentt of creed or country."
