Vj OTIOE is hereby given, that at a Special "^ ' Meeting of the said Council, held on TUESDAY, the 23rd day of July, 1878, the said Council adopted the several resolutions following:— (a) That at this Special Meeting the Council of the Thames County do adopt a resolution that the Southern Boundary of the Hastings Biding, in the {Thames County, he altered from its present site, so that it shall, on its eastern extremity, start from the Ocean on" the East Coast, at a point on the proper right bank of the Otahu Birer, and thence extend up the said bank-to the head of the said river j thence in a straight line to bead of the nearest Bource of the Hikutaia River j thence down the proper left bank of the said Hikutaia River to its junction with the Waihou Biver; thence in a line due west to the boundary line between the Thames County and the Waikato County; and that the'northern'boundary of the Ohinemuri Biding, in the .said Thames County, be alter' 1 from its present site, so that such Biding be : bounded on. the north by the boundary as altered, as 1 aforesaid, of the said H r 3tings ißidnigi' \, ■ j», {,' r.'T ' '' 'i ''1 _ , (5) Th at at this Special Meeting the Thames County Council do adept a resolution'that the number of Members of this Council, be nine instead* of seven, as heretofore, and that the number of Councillors to be, elected by! the Electors of the Hastings Biding, in the said County, be two instead of one, as heretofore, and that .the number of Councillors to be eleotrd by • the r Electors, of the' E&uaeranga Biding in the said County be two instead ef one as heretofore. i ;,, And further; notice, is hereby given that on Tuesday the .twenty-seventh day of August 1878 at. the hour of seven of the olock in the afternoon a Meeting of the said Council will be held at the Thames County Council Offices Thames to confirm or otherwise de:l with the nid several resolutions. f.
