. The Hawea showed up at half-past seven this morning, but owing to a heavy surf could not be communicated with. She therefore left at eight o'clock.
Considerable aaxiety is being felt here respecting the Kaiatna, which left Waitara for Manukau last "Wednesday, with cattle and steep, and has not since been heard of. Some sheep have been washed ashore near Raglan, from which it is surmised she is lost.
A person styling himself Judge Thomas has been distributing printed papers in Maori amongst the Natives. Eewi has refused to see him.
