County Council THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL. 1^ OTICE is hereby given, that at a Special ,r Meeting of the said Council, held on TUESDAY, the 23rd day of July, 1878, fcho said Council adopted the several resolutions following:— (a) That at this Special Meeting tho Council of the Thames County do adopt a resolution that the Southern Boundary of the Hastings Riding, in the Thames County, be altered from its present site, so that it shall, on its eastern extremity, start from the Ocean on the East Coast, at a point on the proper right fcank of the Otahu River, nnd thence extend up the said bank to tho head of the said river; thence in a straight line to head of the nearest source of the Hikutaiu River; thence down the proper left bank of the said Hikutaia River to its junction with , the Waihou River; thence in a line due west to the boundary line between the Thames County and the Wailmto County; and that the northern boundary of the Ohinemuri Biding, in the (aid Thames County, be altered from its present site, so that such Biding be bounded on the north by the boundary as altered, as aforesaid, of the said Hastinga Biding. (5) That at this Special Meeting the Thames^ County Council do adept a resolution that tho number of Members of this Council be nine instead of seven, as heretofore,, and that the number of Councillors te be elected" by the Electors of tho Hastings Biding, in the said County, be two instead of one, as heretofore, and that the number of Councillors to be elected by the Electors of the Kauaeranga Biding in (he eaid County be two instead of one as heretofore.
