WELLINGTON.
This day.
There is nothing sensational. The House is squabbling over the estimates.
The County Conference Committee had a final meeting to-day and agreed on the report to be submitted by the chairman to Government. The suggestions are excellent, and if approved by Parliameat will result in great good to the North' Island. Mr Luckie takes the editorial chair of « . ■ the Post at £550 a year; Mr Anderson that of the Chronicle at £520 per year. This is the place for newspaper men. Mr Cadman of Coromandel and Mr King" of Whakatane go north to-day. • There is nothing further re Railway Bill.
