County Council THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL. IVj OTICE is hereby given, that at a Special Meeting of the said Council, held on TUESDAY, the 23rd eUy of July, .1878, the' said Council adopted the several resolutions, following:— (a) That at this Special Moeting the Council of. the' Thames County do adopt a resolution that the Southern Boundary of the Hastings Biding,, in the Thames County, be altered from its present site, so that it shall, on its eastern extremity, start from the Ocean on the East Coast, afc a point on the proper right bank of the Otabu River, and thence extend up the said bank to the head of the said river ; thence in a straight line to bead of the nearest source of the Hikutaia River; thence down the proper left bank of the said Hikutaia River to its junction with the Waihou River; thencean a line due west to the boundary line between the Thames County and the Waikato County; and that the northern, boundary of the Ohinemuri Riding, in the said Thames County, be altered from its present site, so that such' Riding be ! bounded on the north by the boundary as 1 altered, as aforesaid, of the said Hastings 1 Riding. I (b) That at this Sp'sial Meeting the Thames 1 County Council do adept a resolution that the | number of Members of this Council be nine instead of seven, as heretofore, and that the number of Councillors to be elected by the I Electors of the Hastings Biding, in the said County, be two instead of one, as heretofore, apd that tbe number of Councillors- to be elected by the' Electors of the Kauaeranga Riding in the said County be two instead of one as heretofore.
