THE Evening Star. PUBLISHED DAILY AT FOUR O'CLOCK P.M. Resurrexi. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 14, 1878.

Feom a private but reliable source we have information that Ministers at a Cabinet meeting have decided to take charge of the flhames and Waikato JRailway Bill, but the decision has not been ynt publicly anaounccd. Moreover, it is not known what alterations are proposed to be made before its introduction. Sufficient for the present, however, is the fact-—we have every reason to believe it a fact -that the Government after mature consideration have agreed to father the Eailway Bill.
