CROWN PRINCESS.
The manager has started rising on the underlie of tue No. 2 reef at the bottom I level. No reef has been broken: down lately, but ut the last fape it was from eight inches to a foot thick, . and gold was obtained every breaking down. This rise is. being put up with the intention of connecting with a winze sunk 50ft. below the level above. When connection is made good ventilation will be insured in the new level, and facilities afforded. to commence stoping operations when required. It is intended to take out and crush- a trial parcel next week.. Work on the other crosg'Cut has been stopped in consequence of the gas. When the winze above referred to is communicated with work here will be resumed, and the sped* men leader should be to hand soon. Before the suspension of driving a nice little stringer, indicating the proximity of the lode, was come on. Morton and party, tribntersf will start crushing seven or eight tons to-morrow.
