GREYMOUTH.

At an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the Grey mouth Coal Miking Company, at which there was a large attendance, (he following resolutions were carried almost unanimously: —"That the directors be authorised to call for tenders for the purchase of the company's mine and property." " That in the. event of no satisfactory tenders being received, the directors be authorised to sell the company's mine and property by private treaty, with a view of reorganisation, and allotting proportionate shares pro rata, in the first instance, among the present shareholders, and to offer all the shares not so taken up to the public." " That the following shareholders be appointed to act with the directors in the matter of the sale of the mine and property: Messri Glenn, Girdwood Wickes, Griffiths, and E. Essenardt." " That in the event of the property of the company being disposed of by tender, or by private sale or treaty, the directors be empowered to pay the debts of the company and divide the balance (if any) amongst the shareholders, and thereafter to take any steps to wind up the company." A vote of thanks to the Chairman concluded the business.
