TOOKEY'S TRIBUTE.

Some time ago Mr Teasdale was appointed to the tempprary charge of this mine for the purpose of doing some work in the Golden Hill section, where it was supposed there was some gold. A drive is now being put in on a small stringer, but nothing has been obtained ye.t. The Waiotahi Company have now driven on their reef to within some twenty or thirty feet of the Tookey Tribute boundary, and I hear it is intended when the boundary is reached to work the lode in the Tookey ground from the Waiotahi shaft/if permission so to do can be obtained. This reef is a good payable one,_ and would doubtless remunerate, this mine* as well as it is doing the Waiotahi Company.
