THIS DAY. (Before W. Fraser, Esq., R.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Two inebriates were charged in the usual manner. ' > CHIMNEY ON FIRE. > James Renshaw was charged with allowing the chimneypot" the house occ,upied. by him to take fire on the 3rd inst. Defendant pleaded guilty, and, was fined 10s and costs. , GAMBLING. , " Kichard Tregomning, landlord of the Willoughby Hotel, was charged with permitting gambling in his licensed house on the Ist inst. ••.'' : Mr Macdonald appeared for the defen? dant, and admitted the offence. The; gambling was " a shilling in and the winner shouts." Fined 40s and costs. SETTLED OUT OF CdttßT. There were two cases of abusive language on the list, but they had been settled out of Court. Court adjourned.
