Mr Courtney sold to-day good farms of 420 acres at Urenui for £7 5s per acre, and for a section of land in Sevei j street, purchased from Major Atkinson a few days ago for £SCO, half of it fetched £515/
Mr Cheal, a surveyor on the Waitara Plains, has crossed Eapuna without opposition from the natives, who remained quiet.
It is proposed to start a gas company here.
