The Municipal Conference.

The Municipal Conference decided to- i day that Borough Councils had power to provide against the goat nuisance by special by-law. This day. Tho Municipal Conference have decided that all streets shall be 66 feet wide, and compulsorily. The term private streets is entirely done away with ; every street shall have two entrances, each of the full width of the street, and shall be open from the ground upwards ; and all ways less than 33 feet in width shall be secured against the entrance of animals or vehicles. The Council are not to be liable for any damages caused-by any cuttings or alterations in roadway or paths. The Council can direct any person building to so make his level as to prevent the collection of any stagnant water. A resolution was unanimously agreed to against the present method of raising loans, substituting a simpler and more expeditious means; no regular Parliamentary agent to be appointed.
