Ist AugUßfc, 1878. 2896 County Council THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL. jV] OTICE ie hereby given, that at a Special "^ Meeting of. the said Council, held on TUESDAY, the 23rd day of July, 1878, the said Council adopted the several resolutions following:— (a) That at this Special Meeting the Council of the Thames County do adopt a resolution that the Southern Boundary of the Hastings Biding, in the Thames County, be altered from its present site, so that it shall, on its eastern extremity, start from the Ocean on the East Coast, at a point on the proper right bank of the Otahu Hirer, and thence extend up the said bank to the head i of the said river ; thence in a straight line to head of the nearest source of the Hikutaia Bivor; thence down the proper left bank of the said Hikutaia Hirer to its junction with the Waihou Biver j thence,in a line due west to the boundary line between the Thames County and the Waikato County ; and that the northern boundary of the Ohinemurj Biding, in the said Thames County, be altered from its present site, so that such Riding be bounded on the north by the boundary as altered, as aforesaid, of the said Hastings Biding.

(5) That *t this Special Meeting the Thames County Council do adopt a resolution that the number of Members of this Council be nine instead of seven, as heretofore, and that the number of Councillors ta be elected by the Electors of the Hastings Riding, in tke said County, be two instead of one, as heretofore, and thnfc the number of Councillors to be elected by the Electors of the Ktiuaeranga Riding in the said County be two instead of one as heretofore. And further notice is hereby given that on Tuesday the twenty-seventh day of August 1878 at the hour of seven of the clock in the afternoon a Meeting of the said Council will be held at the Thames County Council Offices Thames to confirm or otherwise deal with the said several resolutions.
