1 A telegram from Copenhagen states that the .Russian Government has pur* chased a new fast Swedish steamer, called the Motala, for cruising purpose!. A despatch from Lisbon '■ states that Count Penamacar, a nobleman of illustrious family, has been arrested on a charge of forging bank notes, and that he has confessed his guilt. . - The Grand jJuke Constantino has been appointed High Admiral by the -Caar. The appointment occasions comment, be* cause the Duke is known to be a prominent member of the war party, and a violent opponent of the friends .of. peace. A Cairo telegram says that-the Commiteee of Inquiry into Egyptian Revenues has demanded from the Khedive a complete list of all the estates belonging to His Highness and his family, with the dales of the original acquisition and transfer to His Highness's family and the amount of purchase money.
